Top 5 Things to Create Using Daniel Tiger Coloring Pages
We love working on Daniel Tiger coloring pages and often turn them into all sorts of crafts. My kids prefer complex tasks, so I came up with a few ideas for children like them.
Paper Castle
If you take a closer look at these Daniel Tiger coloring pages, you will see that there are a lot of figures that are easy to cut out. Use empty toilet paper rolls and plain snow cone cups to build a castle for Prince Wednesday and his friends. Glue the columns together carefully or attach them to each other with wire. Experiment with different designs and layouts to achieve a more attention-grabbing result.
After cutting out the main characters from the illustrations, glue them to both sides of the castle. Alternatively, you can glue them to craft sticks if you want to organize a theater play. Put this DIY castle on the table in your child’s bedroom. You can also use it as a decoration for a classroom.
DIY Keychains
Print Daniel Tiger coloring pages on shrink sheets. You can find them at a local store or order them online. I prefer to use the latter option. We use these sheets for different projects. Find some quality markers and color the figures carefully. Then, cut them out and make a hole for keychain hardware. Preheat the oven and bake the images following the instructions that come with the sheets. Wait until they cool down completely and attach the keychain hardware.
When creating such accessories, I often add other elements to keychains. My daughter loves accessories with colorful beads. I showed her how to create such items quickly. Now, she often uses this method to make gifts for her friends. Be sure to keep your kids under constant supervision when they work on this project.
Cake Toppers
Are you getting ready for a birthday party? What can be better than creating custom cake toppers! This idea will be perfect for any cake, regardless of the type of icing. Use cutouts from Daniel Tiger coloring pages to create custom cake toppers. It’s better to cut out multiple figures in different poses and arrange them the way you see fit. Glue them to long toothpicks. If you have some time, make them sturdier and glue them to construction paper, and then attach them to toothpicks or craft sticks.
Stick the figures into the cake and add other decorations if necessary. Such a cake will become the most important element of the party. Be sure to take the toppers out of the cake before lighting the birthday candles. Such toppers will also look great on various dishes, including sandwiches.
Custom Toy Box
A plain toy box is a great accessory for storing countless toys, including dolls, cars, and LEGO pieces. If you want to encourage your child to keep their toys hidden when they do not play with them, create a fun toy box. Decorate it with cutouts from Daniel Tiger coloring pages to make it brighter and liven up your child’s bedroom. You may also use the illustrations to decorate the inside of the box. Use them as wallpaper. Glue one image to each wall. It will allow you to create a practical item and help youngsters organize their space better.
It took us a couple of hours to complete the illustrations and create a toy box. Use craft glue if you want to use a wooden box. For cardboard boxes, any type of invisible glue will do. If you have too many finished pages, it’s an excellent project to implement. It will allow you to find some use for the images you have created together.
Personalized Keepsake
Youngsters love collecting lovely items and exchanging gifts with their friends. After completing Daniel Tiger coloring pages, cut out any character and glue it to a piece of construction paper to make it more durable. Cut it out again and create a simple stand. Put this figure on the table or display it on the bookshelf for everyone to see. You can use this method to create a memorable keepsake. Write kind wishes on the back of the figure.
You may also cover the surface of the paper figure with glassine to make it more durable and eye-pleasing. Such simple tokens of friendship bring a lot of joy when they are given as gifts. My son gave a paper figure he created to one of his friends at the kindergarten a couple of years ago. They still love playing games together even after graduating.
