Top 5 Crafts to Create with Minion Coloring Pages
We create fun crafts together with my son after completing Minion coloring pages. These projects do not take us long to complete, as we typically finish them in about half an hour.
3D Characters
Once, I found a small box and suggested my kid color the illustrations and cut out the figures of the main protagonists from Minion coloring pages. Then, I found some glue and cotton for our next step. We carefully glued cotton balls to the back of each creature and glued them to the underside of the box lid. We painted the box yellow. You can go further and embellish it with various patterns and pics to make it more attention-grabbing.
Use this item as a DIY gift. When a person who receives it opens the box, they will see minions rising. This will allow you to achieve a realistic effect and literally make these creatures come to life. Add some sweets to the box if you are preparing a gift for a child. Every fan of the series will be thrilled to receive such a present.
Doorway Ornament
When preparing for holidays, you don’t have to waste money on expensive decorations. If you want to throw a party for your child’s classmates, find the Minion coloring pages that the youngest generation of your family likes the most and cut out the pics. Use yellow markers to make them more realistic, and use shredded yellow tissue paper to embellish their bodies and give them a voluminous look.
We laughed a lot when we tried implementing this idea for the first time. It was a bit challenging to cut out paper ornaments and staple them to a piece of yellow, blue, and white yarn. Then, we attached the cutouts to the bottom and hung the ornaments on both sides of the doorway leading to the living room.
Paper Puppets
At first, we simply glued cutouts from Minion coloring pages to craft sticks and used them during our improvised theater plays. However, when my son was no longer satisfied with simple projects, I suggested we do something more creative. After completing the pics, we cut out the characters and separated the heads from their bodies. It was no easy task to achieve, as minions have no visible neck. However, we did our best.
We used regular paper bags and glued faces to the bottom. Next, we glued the bodies to the side. Such crafts are suitable for creating personalized gifts. You may put Halloween treats into them or put some sweets inside to treat your child’s guests after a birthday party.
Stylish Mask
Print Minion coloring pages in a larger size and cut out the faces. Cover the surface with yellow paint and glue the pics to cardboard to make them more durable. Such masks are larger than regular images. Youngsters will experiment with different techniques, trying to fill in every inch with hues. Cut out the eyes so that youngsters can see everything when wearing this accessory.
We attached rubber strings to the masks we created to ensure they remain in place when a person puts them on. Alternatively, you may connect wooden sticks to the bottom. Add some extra embellishments to each mask to personalize them. We used a piece of wire to make googles. These accessories are the best choice for parents who want to engage kids in creative activities. Throw a costumed party, schedule a theater play, or ask youngsters to share stories about minions’ adventures.
Paper Flags and Chains
When the holidays approach, it’s time to react quickly and keep youngsters busy with preparations. Ask them to finish their favorite Minion coloring pages and cut out the shapes they want to use. Find construction paper and have kids draw outlines of various pieces of equipment that minions typically utilize. Then, find a long piece of yarn or craft string and punch holes in the cut-outs and other pictures you want to use. Attach them to the string and hang it in the hall.
We also like creating triangle-shaped flags for the living room. I print 10-15 pages. Then, we cut out the characters from the illustrations, color them carefully, and glue them to pieces of paper. Some parents prefer to use rectangle-shaped flags. Be sure to maintain consistent spacing to make the flags look better.
